Gupta revealed that their interaction spanned a few months, but ultimately, compatibility issues and unfavorable timing prevented their connection from progressing further. She clarified that while they were in touch, it never reached the stage of a formal dating relationship.
"Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don't think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months," Gupta stated.
She further elaborated on the short duration of their association and the limited number of times they met.
"We were at that 'maybe it will happen, maybe it won't' stage. It ended before we even reached the dating stage. So it wasn't dating-dating. We met once or twice, that's it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended."
Gupta reflected on the potential of their relationship, acknowledging that circumstances led to a swift conclusion. "Maybe it could have happened," she said, adding that "things fizzled out quickly."
The actress emphasized that the end of their communication was amicable, devoid of any complications.
"There was no drama or bitterness," she stated. "It just wasn't meant to be."
Gupta also addressed Hardik Pandya's controversial appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2019, confirming that their communication had ceased before the incident.
"That part didn't affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then," she explained.
The actress revealed her decision to refrain from adding to the criticism during the controversy.
"They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?" she said.
Hardik Pandya is currently not involved with the Indian cricket team which is on a five-match Test tour of England. India conceded the opening Test at Headingley on Tuesday by 5-wickets. Pandya's next involvement for the Indian team is believed to come against Bangladesh in August.
