While many Bollywood celebrities shield their children from the media spotlight, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza take a different approach. They allow their sons, Riaan and Rahyl, to interact with the paparazzi, teaching them valuable lessons about humility and respect.
The Deshmukh family often greets photographers, setting a unique example in Bollywood.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Riteish Deshmukh shared his perspective on dealing with the paparazzi and the importance of instilling the right attitude in his children. He explained that his sons are actively involved in sports and outdoor activities, which naturally leads to them being photographed.
Deshmukh believes it's essential for children to learn how to navigate this attention without developing a sense of entitlement.
Deshmukh emphasizes the importance of humility in dealing with media attention. He tells his sons, "Getting clicked is an honour. When the paparazzi ask for pictures, you thank them for clicking and move on." He views these interactions as opportunities for his children to learn respect and gratitude.
Riteish Deshmukh also acknowledges that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting, especially for those in the public eye. He respects the decisions of other parents who prefer to keep their children away from the media, stating, "Just because one person does something doesn’t mean others have to do the same. I think parents know what’s best for their children. If people feel they don’t want their kids to be in the media, it should be respected."
On the professional front, Riteish Deshmukh was recently seen in Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Shreyas Talpade, and Johny Lever.
