Smriti Mandhana, the dynamic batter from Team India, has carved her name into cricket history by becoming the first Indian woman cricketer to achieve centuries in all three international formats: Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.
Smriti Mandhana celebrates her record-breaking century.
This historic feat was accomplished during the first T20I match between India Women and England Women at Trent Bridge. Mandhana delivered a breathtaking performance, scoring 112 runs off just 62 balls.
Leading as captain, Mandhana showcased her dominance with a display of 15 fours and three impressive sixes. Her aggressive yet controlled innings propelled India to a formidable total of 210/5 in 20 overs, marking their highest-ever T20I score against England.
This century also marks Mandhana's maiden T20I century, making her the first Indian woman batter to complete this rare achievement. Her innings combined elegance with power, effectively neutralizing England’s key spinners, such as Sophie Ecclestone, through fearless strokeplay.
Valuable contributions also came from Harleen Deol (43 off 23) and Deepti Sharma (7 not out off 3), ensuring India maintained a strong run rate throughout the innings. Lauren Bell was the most successful of England’s bowlers, taking three wickets.
Mandhana’s achievement places her among a select group of cricketers, both male and female, who have scored centuries across all three formats. This milestone is a defining moment for her career and a source of inspiration for aspiring cricketers in India.
With this commanding performance, Mandhana continues to prove why she is a leading figure in Indian women’s cricket, known for her consistency, fearlessness, and record-breaking abilities.
