Jasprit Bumrah, the world's top-ranked Test bowler, recently faced some playful ribbing from his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, on Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra's show, 'Who's The Boss'. This occurred after Bumrah spearheaded India's bowling attack in the first Test against England at Headingley, Leeds. Despite his impressive five-wicket haul in the first innings, India succumbed to a five-wicket defeat in the series opener.

The promo clip showcased Sanjana recounting a pre-marriage incident, delivering a hilarious one-liner that left Bumrah momentarily speechless.

Ganesan, a prominent sports presenter, who tied the knot with Bumrah in March 2021, humorously recalled, "Tum run-up per bhi nahi bhagte ho. Tum mere sath kya bhagoge?" (You don't even run during your run-up. So how will you run with me?). This witty remark was in response to Bumrah's suggestion that they elope before their wedding.

Meanwhile, concerns loom over Bumrah's availability for the second Test at Edgbaston, Birmingham, scheduled from July 2nd to 6th. India's team management, including chief selector Ajit Agarkar, head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Shubman Gill, and Bumrah himself, have collectively decided that he will only participate in three of the five matches in the series against England.

During the first Test, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar playfully urged on-field presenter Sanjana to persuade Bumrah to play all five matches, acknowledging his stellar performance. However, Gavaskar carefully avoided directly addressing the question. The team management has yet to specify which two Tests Bumrah will be rested from.

Bumrah's Test cricket record in England is noteworthy, with 42 wickets taken in nine matches. He currently holds the position of the third-highest wicket-taker for India in England, trailing only Ishant Sharma and Kapil Dev.

Ishant Sharma currently leads with 48 wickets from 14 Tests in England, while Kapil Dev claimed 43 wickets in 13 Test matches on English soil.
